This site adjoins a water course which runs parallel to School Road. The latter is frequently flooded and in a poor state of repair owing to water damage. School Road is of a narrow single track standard, serves as the main access to Bressingham Village and contains our primary school and is therefore a constant concern regarding parking. At its southern end where it opens onto the busy A1066 the junction is a poor one with restricted vision.

There may be some long term validity in this site but the current Joint Core Strategy would need to redesignate Bressingham as a service village. Consequently considerable strategic planning will be required.

This development runs contrary to Bressingham's "Other Village" category and seems to owe more to opportunism than carefully planned development. It would change the character and setting of this part of the village and alter the aspect of the much respected and cherished War Memorial for which the parish council has responsibility.

This site shares the dominant constraint common to all Bressingham/Fersfield sites: an absence of essential infrastructure, services and transport. which render it completely unsuitable for a project of this dimension. Its development would also impact adversely on this part of the village, particularly in relation to safety and use of the nearby roads, for example, High Road, which could not cope with additional traffic flow. The policy of serial addition of small areas at village peripheries would be corrupted should a re-classification of Bressingham as a 'Service Village' within Joint Core Strategy terms be necessarily attempted.
