Question 13

Representation ID: 26403

Received: 28/09/2026

Respondent: Bunwell Parish Council

Representation Summary:

The development of the GNLP appears to have good awareness of city centre challenges in both the retail sector and the evening/late-night. Economic change in these sectors is very much influenced by the more recent decline in the economic state of the country and its effect on the public's income and costs although Norwich is in pretty good shape given the financial challenges. Like a lot of things the GNLP Growth Plan needs constant review to respond to difficulties and also to ensure safety in the city for residents and visitors both day and night. Strong police presence is essential.

Much of this has already been commented upon.

Proven specialists with no vested interests in such matters but with excellent technical capability, commercial experience, environmental expertise, business acumen and solid common sense should be embraced to drive conclusions which are effective but don't bankrupt the public, the country or county.
