GNLP 2045 Regulation 20 Scoping Consultation

East Suffolk Council is in the early stages of preparing a new Local Plan, having published the Notice of Intention to Commence Local Plan Preparation and the Local Plan Timetable in May 2026. A Scoping Consultation was held between 10 June and 29 July, and we plan to reach Gateway 1 before the end of October 2026. As East Suffolk shares a border with South Norfolk, along the River Waveney, we will support ongoing liaison and co-operation between the Councils in identifying and seeking to address cross-boundary matters as both plans are prepared, in line with the expectations of policies PM10 and PM11 of the National Planning Policy Framework.
