Swainsthorpe is considered suitable for only small scale "infill" development in existing local plans, this site is much larger. The proposed access onto Church Road via Church View is onto a dangerous bend to a road already used as a "rat run" and opposite a children's play area. School buses and church visitors regularly park there. Swainsthorpe has limited amenities (just a pub) no schools or local employment. The village infrastructure is already overloaded. There's a public footpath near the site that would be lost. This site could also encourage similar developments changing the rural character of the village forever.
