* Devaluation of dwellings on the Drayton High Road.
* Problems with subsidence to the rear of dwellings along Drayton High Road
* MOST IMPORTANTLY- the construction of an access road from the proposed site onto Drayton High Road between Drayton Drury and Carter Road
For some reason the Broadland District Council approved the moving of the bus shelter for the city bound buses to be moved nearer to the junction of Carter Road. This will obviously cause a viewing obstruction for vehicles turning right from Carter Road onto Drayton High Road.
Accidents are caused from many reasons, one being poor road planning. The creation of this access road will cause an accident black spot which will lead to a serious accident and more than likely a fatal accident. It is not a question of will this happen, but when!
AN ALTERNATIVE ACCESS ROAD ON THE LOW ROAD WOULD OBVIOUSLY BE MORE EXPENSIVE!
THE QUESTION IS:
IS PROFIT MORE IMPORTANT THAN PUBLIC SAFETY!

Representation Summary:

Drayton is a village, the local roads, pavements, drainage, schools and doctors are not capable of coping with the developments already approved let alone this additional site. This site will cause the bus stop to be moved up the road further away from the village, the route onto Hall Lane and the NDR is likely to be via Carter Road, with the development on the corner of School Road already approved and the proposed GNLP0301 it will become a "rat run", we have been requesting one end of Carter Road be closed off to stop this problem from growing.

Representation Summary:

The proposed entrance for this site (Drayton High Road) will cause an accident black spot and fatalities.IT IS TO DANGEROUS! Also building on this field will cause subsidence and land slides onto the dwellings that run along Drayton High Road where the back gardens meet the field. A retaining wall must be built in all of the properties that back on to this field if this site does get built on. Again as mentioned before, the roads will not cope nor will the sewage.
