I strongly object to this proposed site consideration for any residential properties, which is completely isolated and detached from Horsford and all the surrounding villages. The local amenities (including schools, doctors surgeries etc) are already seriously overstretched and with developments already approved (and in the pipeline) within the area, this additional housing would be totally unacceptable. There are no suitable footpaths, or bus services and the location is without doubt unsustainable. The site (being adjacent the Drayton area boundary) also goes against the Drayton Neighborhood Plan

I completely object to the occupation of (yet another) piece of open land on the border of Hellesdon being utilised for housing. We are already lined up to receive more strain on the infrastructure of the area with the golf course development. This proposed site is an area used for recreation which is at a minimum in Hellesdon, and it will be a huge loss to the local community as well as straining on services.

The development of this large site will see the loss of yet more of the green buffer between Hellesdon and Horsford resulting in the loss of character and identity of both settlements. The site also includes the safety zone for Norwich Airport, and will be quite remote from Horsford, therefore relying on the already overstretched services and resources of Hellesdon, whilst at the same time delivering more traffic congestion and air pollution.

Green space between Hellesdon and Horsford, health implications of living under or close to flight path and light aircraft have crash landed here historically and would put more pressure on Hellesdons already congested roads and and amenities.

This site which includes the airport safety zone, would effectively remove the green buffer between Hellesdon and Horsford, resulting in both settlements losing their character and identity and creating an urban sprawl. Remote from Horsford, residents will use the facilities and services of Hellesdon putting additional pressure on already overstretched services, whilst adding to the already severe traffic congestion in Hellesdon

I object to this proposal as there would be more of a strain on Hellesdon amenities, there is nowhere to park now ,the doctors surgery is always full, you cant't park anywhere near the co-op and the cycle lane on Middletons lane is always blocked with delivery vehicles. The community centre and library are well used now with limited parking most days.

This area abuts the parish of Hellesdon but is remote from the parish of Horsford. Development here would place too much strain in the infrastructure of Hellesdon, removing the green belt which sensibly separates the two parishes currently.

This is a large site adjacent to the Hellesdon Parish boundary. Object on the following grounds: This removes more of the green "buffer" between Hellesdon and Horsford, the site includes the safety zone for Norwich Airport, noise from the Airport, industrial site and NDR, it is remote from the village of Horsford, development will therefore put pressure on the facilities and amenities and add to the already severe traffic congestion in Hellesdon.

The increased car pressure on the village of Drayton is huge concern. The road and parking infrastructure can not cope today with the volume of traffic - this additional load would cause significant issues and without sounding dramatic - a risk to life. The junction outside the petrol station is home to many near misses and accidents today.
Plus the impact on the natural life around Drayton/Taverham/Helesdon will be ruined and what is a beautiful place to live will be irreparably destroyed.

I strongly object to this planning going ahead. Hellesdon is a big enough parish which has only just gained some valuable green and allotment space. The increase in homes here will add more traffic chaos to Hellesdon alongside the need for growth to schools, GP surgeries and other local amenities. It will be unresponsible to add to this area when there are alternative areas that can easily accommodate this amount and level of change.

Small Parish with few conveniences, unethical as we need the green space for the community to share, overcrowded area already, significant current traffic problems
Hellesdon simply cannot accommodate any further growth and support should be gained for new housing further along Reepham Road where no neighbouring homes or environments will be affected.
I wholly object to the plans to build new homes on the boundary of Hellesdon and Horsford. Hellesdon is a small parish with few conveniences, all of which are currently at saturation point. It is unethical to think that building new homes in this locality will enable sustainable growth. To be honest, this will overcrowd our schools, GP surgery, dentist and most of all out roads. There is already significant traffic problems within Hellesdon, down the Reepham road and along Middletons Road past the High school. This is an unrealistic plan which will cause more misery to commuters and residents alike. Hellesdon has recently earmarked Cottinghams Park as its final green space area which is regularly used by children, dog walkers and local residents. This is a peaceful place and accommodates the growth of local wildlife for all to enjoy. Allotment holders could potentially be left without their pride and joy and for some this is a lifeline, where regular interaction with locals keep them socialised and in touch with local people. This is a community area which is held in high regard by many residents and fellow local Hellesdon residents. My children are regular users of Cottinghams Park and they feel safe here.

I feel it would be immoral to build a large housing estate of this size in this place because of 1) The current over saturation of services in Hellesdon which new residents would compete for (no new spaces to build extra parking and services within central Hellesdon), 2)The development would be within Horsford parish yet residents would access Hellesdon for services and any development funds would go to Horsford instead, 3) The impact of extra vehicles upon the air quality which is already poor in Hellesdon and not appreciating this impact upon on it's ageing population

This site is outside of the settlement limit and remote from the services of Horsford, contrary to their neighbourhood plan. This is also within the Norwich Airport Public Safety Zone. It will call in question the validity of all traffic flows for the AADT which was part of the requirement for the DCO for the NDR. These sites were not under consideration when the NDR was approved. This location has serious drainage issues as observed by the lagoons on the Reepham Rd/ Drayton Lane roundabout.

building here will put strain on the roads and the facilities in Hellesdon. Although this area is Horsford residents will use the facilities of Hellesdon rather than cross the NDR. The facilities in Hellesdon are already over stretched. This development will mean that Hellesdon will lose even more open space. The application for a burial ground on this plot was turned down because the road infrastructure would not support the traffic generated. A housing estate will generate more traffic.
Finally the proximity of Norwich Airport Is this area not needed as an emergency crash area for the airport?

Hellesdon would not be able to cope with this amount of housing, it is going to struggle to absorb the development on the Golf club site as it is. Parking is inadequate both in the centre and at the doctors surgery and I can't see where they are going to put more. Services themselves are overstretched and I feel Hellesdon has already 'done it's bit' in having over 1300 homes already agreed. Also this area is too close to the airport and in the crash zone

Outside of settlement limit, remote from Horsford village, which is contrary to their Neighbourhood Plan. Within airport public safety zone.. Much weight was giving to traffic modelling (AADT point A77) for approval of the Development Consent Order for the NDR and was based on known developments upto 2032,. This would impact on the link routes from Hellesdon to the NDR.

These areas are not suitable for the proposed buildings because they would put pressure on Hellesdon medical practice and other facilities in Hellesdon.
They would cause traffic problems for the already busy roads of Hellesdon and would be dangerous for vehicles joining the main roads. The loss of habitat for wildlife should also be considered before building on our countryside.

The effect this will impact on the infrastructure ie. Doctors, Schools, more traffic on the roads. Hellesdon has very little recreation land of which one of the above sites is used for now. Hellesdon has already recently lost the golf course where more houses are being built. From the safety aspect these sites are on the flight path to Norwich airport and would surely be unsafe to have a housing development built here. I purchased our property with the understanding it had a 99 year lease on the land where the allotments are and would not be built on.

Yet again putting more strain on the services in Hellesdon. Hellesdon has taken its share of redevelopment.
