A2.1 The broad structure of the GNLP 2045
1As the GNLP 2045 is being produced under the new plan-making system, its form, content and structure will be significantly different to the adopted GNLP. Rather than a static PDF-based document, it will be a digital map-based document which will include clear measurable outcomes. This will include measurable outcomes which relate to the vision and objectives and others related to the policies in the plan.
2To comply with the new plan-making system, the broad structure of GNLP 2045 is proposed to be:
- The growth strategy and the settlement hierarchy
- Site allocations
- Locally specific policies – these will be a more limited number of locally specific policies than in previous local plans which will complement, and in a limited number of cases add to, national decision-making policies.
